Bone turnover markers.  What are they and who needs them?

They determine if your bone meds working properly.  Bone turnover markers help in evaluating between DXA tests (usually every two years).

Many doctors now offer bone markers prior to bone medication to be used as a baseline.

Bone turnover markers need a script from your doctor.
