When I first learned that I was experiencing low bone density (they called it osteopenia then), it shook me.
Even with a background in health and nutrition, I felt the same flood of fear and confusion many of my clients describe—suddenly second-guessing my movements, my meals, my future. I kept wondering, What does this mean for the rest of my life?
The advice I received was inconsistent. Some doctors told me to take medication immediately. Others said to wait. And none of them had the time to truly explain what was happening inside my body—or what I could do about it beyond prescriptions.
That uncertainty is what led me to dig deeper.
I committed myself to learning everything I could about bone health—from how to interpret my DXA scan (my perfect DXA was incorrect due to osteoarthritis…more on that in the course), to which supplements and nutrients actually matter, to what movement supports healing (and what might make things worse).
I trained in integrative nutrition, worked alongside leading experts in the field, advocating for my clients around the country, and slowly, gently rebuilt my confidence.
In the process, I began helping other women navigate this too.
And I realized: no one should have to go through this alone.
