Special invitation for anyone recently or currently diagnosed with osteopenia and/or osteoporosis
Let Me Be Your Dedicated Bone Health Navigator and “Concierge” From DXA Test to Bone Health Plan
Hi there, my name is Irma Jennings, also known as The Bone Lady – and I know the obstacle course of bone health management first-hand.
In my 50s, I was diagnosed with osteopenia (which is understood as the precursor to osteoporosis – not necessarily in my experience and more on that later!)
I went through the tortuous process of educating myself about what that means, and what to do about it.
I was prescribed medication, which I probably shouldn’t have been.
I saw more doctors than I could count, and navigated their confusing (and often contradictory) advice.
And in fact, my improving DXA tests were incorrectly reported. I have osteoarthritis, which makes my bones look stronger than they are. It wasn't until I had a REMS Echolight assessment done that new info was revealed (again more on that later).
But you can imagine my shock and horror!
Needless to say, and you may be experiencing this yourself, getting to a point of clarity is a frustrating and exhausting process.
But there was a light at the end of the tunnel, and all’s well that ends well…
Because here I am, more than two decades later, with a positive outlook towards my bones health.
And without any prescription medication!
So yes – I know first-hand how scary and confusing it can be when you first get that DXA test and diagnosis, and how hard it is to figure out what it means, and what you need to do to take charge of your health.
But I’d like to help you with that.
That’s what this document you’re reading is about: the opportunity for me to serve as your dedicated “Bone Health Concierge”.
It’s a 6-month journey that I will guide you on, step by step and day by day, to make sense of your tests, get the proper health and medical advice that you need, and create a game plan for long-term bone health that can keep you active and thriving for years and decades to come.
I’ll tell you all about that program. But first, I should start by answering one fundamental question...
Why Work With Irma? (The Part Where I Uncomfortably List Out My Accomplishments!)
Okay, so here’s the thing:
Listing out my accomplishments feels uncomfortably braggadocious, and I would do just about anything to put that off...
...but the fact is that the core of what you’re getting through the Bone Health Roadmap Concierge program is ME.
So I’m taking a deep breath, and writing this out (and in the third person, to make it just a bit easier). Here we go...
Irma was first diagnosed with osteopenia at the age of 51. At that time she didn’t know anything about:
Irma was first diagnosed with osteopenia at the age of 51. At that time she didn’t know anything about:
Bone health
Nutrition
Testing
Supplementation
Exercise
Or even which type of doctors she should seek out!
Despite all that, Irma learned…
...what the root causes of bone health problems really are (and they’re not what most people think!)…
...which medical tests are necessary to properly understand and diagnose bone loss...
...which medical professionals to consult to understand those test results (and it’s NOT your primary care physician, or your gynecologist)...
...how nutrition contributes to bone health...
...what sort of exercises make your bones stronger (there are very specific ways to do this properly)…
...what osteopenia is a warning sign of (hint: it’s often NOT osteoporosis as many doctors will tell you)…
...and the role that stress plays in bone loss – this will probably both surprise and scare you. Sorry.
Despite her diagnosis and lack of training and experience when she began her bone health journey, Irma has uncovered valuable information that helped alleviate her initial fears. She has also connected and interviewed some of the leading osteoporosis specialists.
Since 2010, she has leveraged her hard-won expertise to guide thousands of women on their own journeys from isolation and confusion to a deep and confident understanding of their bone health journey.
Here’s a quick sampling of what clients and colleagues have said about Irma (and there are a bunch more at the bottom of this page)
“Irma’s bone health program is a must for those who wish to increase their bone health through healthy food choices, improved digestion and support regarding an osteoporosis diagnosis. Irma has gone way beyond her nutritional training and helps clients get what they need from their doctors. Irma knows more about bone health than most medical doctors in the field.”
Lani Simpson, DC, author No Nonsense Bone Health Guide
"Thank you for all you’ve done for me! Having you as my coach and supporter was the best decision! Making me aware of the big picture but allowing me to grieve the diagnosis- until I was ready to take this on!!"
Linda Silbert, NJ
Ok, now that’s over with, I'm switching back to first person so we can talk about the logistics.
The truth is that this last section was pretty uncomfortable to write, because I’m not a big self-promoter. But these are the facts, and this is the track record that makes it so you understand how I will be able to help you on your own bone health journey.
So, how does the service actually work...
What Will a Dedicated Bone Health Concierge DO for me?
As I wrote earlier, what you’re getting through the Bone Health Concierge program is ME - a Patient Navigator committed to helping Women like you who are facing and navigating the Osteopenia and Osteoporosis journey.
Essentially, there are six steps on the journey from DXA test result to your personalized bone health plan, which provides you with a roadmap.
Finding the Right Doctors
Obtaining a DXTA/TBS Scan
Blood Work and Bone Markers
Bone Expert Evaluation
Bone Health Food and Supplements
Bone Specific Exercises
At each step on this roadmap, there are countless details to figure out, and experts to consult.
My role is to be your guide and concierge on the entire journey. What this means is that, for the full 6 months of the program (and typically what my Concierge clients need help navigating) I will:
Find you the appropriate medical professionals, so you receive expert care tailored to your needs.
Advocate for you when you meet with them, so you don’t have to worry about being bullied by white lab-coat-wearing specialists.
Support you in finding the right exercises to support your ongoing bone health, so you can maintain strong and healthy bones without the guesswork.
Any other specific questions and needs that come up (and they inevitably do!)
Guide you on the best ways to get the calcium you need in your diet, ensuring you receive the right amounts in a form that will be properly absorbed.
You’ll also receive my Doctor Recommended “Easy Cooking 7-Day Meal Plan” download guide with cooking videos, so you can easily integrate healthy meals into your routine.
As an integrative rheumatologist, who has many patients with osteoporosis, I know food is medicine. This easy to use cookbook is filled with wonderful, tasty, bone-strengthening ingredients, and I recommend it for every person interested in strengthening their bones at every stage of life!

In addition to all of the above, we’ll meet one-to-one every 2 weeks to discuss your progress, and make sure that you feel completely comfortable with where it’s all going.
And, you will also have my personal email address, so you can reach out with questions anytime they pop into your mind.
The Bone Health Journey Can Be Tortuous!
This might not be fun to hear, but let’s put all our cards on the table.
I’ve been through this process, and worked with thousands of women who have as well. And the fact is that it isn’t always pretty.
It all starts with a DXA test and diagnosis, which is scary and can feel like it’s thrown your whole world off its axis. You may feel like you’ve been taken hostage, in the sense that this disease has captured you and you feel helpless to escape.
So, then comes the hunt for insight and answers. You reach out to medical professionals, and spend hours (often over the course of many months!) trying to arrange appointments and tests...
...only to discover, much too late, that they weren’t the right professional or tests for your situation.
Then you go back to the drawing board, and go through it all again. And again. And often again after that.
Each cycle is tiring and demoralizing, and depending on your health coverage can also be expensive! So yeah... not great.
And, to be clear, I’m not sharing any of this to frustrate or scare you – but you should have a clear-eyed picture of what the road ahead looks like, and why it might make sense for you to work with a guide.
I’m Your Short-Cut on This Journey
I shared above what the process can look and feel like if you do it on your own.
Brass tacks: for most women that try to self-navigate, it takes a year or longer, and can rack up bills in the thousands of dollars.
And that’s all besides the fear, anxiety, and physical discomfort that they carry the whole time.
Working with me, the process will move a lot faster. From start to finish, you’re looking at six months from your DXA test to your bone health plan.
You will likely save a lot of money as well.
But most importantly, you won’t be carrying all that stress, because you will know that I’m in your corner.
When you have questions, you just bring them to me and get answers right away – not just on a surface level, but in the really deep sense of “what’s on your mind beneath the words”.
When you talk to doctors, you don’t have to spend hours on the internet afterwards trying to interpret what they said. I’ll be there, advocating for you and translating it all back into plain English.
That’s what’s on the table when you work with me.
Now, let’s address the big elephant in the room… and that’s the boundaries.
In a nutshell, I will be your Bone Health Concierge – whatever you need to navigate this journey, I will do my utmost to provide.
There are just a couple of really important limits that I want to be super clear about. While I have qualifications and experience …
I Am Neither Medical Professional Nor Registered Dietician!
I am your health and bone coach, and co-pilot (aka patient navigator (kind of like a co-pilot).
This means that, while I will absolutely guide you based on my multiple decades of experience operating in this space, I cannot prescribe treatments, diagnose conditions, or order (or interpret) medical tests.
What I can do is guide you through all of those steps, including finding the appropriate medical professionals, and the places to get the tests.
Importantly, and what my clients really find precious, is you will not go this journey alone. I will be there with you when you deal with those medical professionals, and act as your translator, so you never feel lost or confused when the doctors talk about osteocalcin, 24-hour urine, bone marker tests, or anything else that sounds gibberish to you right now.
But just so we’re super clear: I am neither doctor nor dietician, and I don’t play either of those roles on TV! Now, there is one more thing that I should be clear about.
I’m a Guide, but It’s YOUR Journey!
As I’ve already said, I will be the guide, navigator, and concierge on your journey to understanding bone health...
...but you are the one on this journey.
I will find the right medical professionals to help you, - but YOU are the one who has to make (and keep) the appointments with them. This is YOUR responsibility.
I will help you find the right foods to eat (even if you are a picky eater, a vegetarian or vegan or have intolerances such as to lactose or wheat), and I will show you the best and exercises to perform - but preparing meals and doing the motions is on YOU. (I know you know this, and still …)it’s YOURbody that has to actually go through those motions.
And I will create the space to give you the answers that you need ... but YOU’RE the one who has to show up and ask the questions.
So please, take a moment.
Maybe even read this last section again.
Really let it sink in.
This program only works if you’re the one owning the journey, and doing the work.
Ok, so now that’s understood, I know you’ll have one big burning question…
Is This Going To Be Crazy Expensive?
Yeah, I know that’s what you’re wondering.
And in the sense of “is the number on the price tag going to be a big one?” - of course the answer is YES.
(I mean, I’ll be in your corner for every step along a complicated 6-month journey – so obviously this wasn’t going to be cheap!)
But really, “expensive” only means anything when you know what you’re comparing it to.
In that regard, it will likely be way smaller than the one attached to doing this all yourself -- and in more ways than one.
There are 3 things that your work with me is really buying you:
Time. I will streamline the process for you, significantly.
Money. Floundering around on your own will lead to a lot more bills!
Peace of mind. Like the old MasterCard commercials, this is the part that’s really priceless.
Okay, so with that preamble out of the way, let’s get to your investment to have me as your dedicated Bone Health Concierge:
**$2,995, paid up front and in full... ...or 7 monthly payments of $495.
SESSIONS MUST BE USED WITHIN 6 MONTHS
**I usually suggest clients have a session with a well respected doctor in the osteoporosis space, who will recommend a baseline. His fee is $385, which is in addition to the program's cost.
There may be further out-of-pocket expenses for consults with functional doctors I may recommend who do not take insurance. These are however entirely optional and at your own discretion.
Now, like I said, this is a great deal - but only for the right person, so...
Do NOT Apply For This Unless...
This is the part where I'm supposed to give you the hard sell about how this offer is an absolute no-brainer.
But I'm not going to do that.
Because… well… it isn't a no-brainer.
In fact, a really good brain is absolutely required ;-)
Seriously, though - the fact is, that this program is NOT a good fit for many of the people who will read these words – including maybe you!
Truthfully, you should ONLY apply for this program if ALL of the following are true for you:
You are COMMITTED to your bone health journey. You know that taking charge of your bone health is a key part of the life that you want to live for the years and decades to come.
You are willing and eager to roll up your sleeves and WORK. This is another one of those things that should go without saying but sometimes doesn’t: the only way you make progress is if you take CONSISTENT action (making and keeping appointments, eating the right foods, doing the exercises, etc.). You have to be onboard with that - and if your style is to vacillate between procrastination and the occasional manic burst of “massive action”... no, that isn’t going to cut it.
You are COACHABLE. This is another one of those that should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyway: only sign up for this program if you’re actually interested in hearing my perspective and taking my advice. Of course I will never try to force something on you that doesn’t feel aligned - but if you ignore everything that I suggest, you will not get any results from our work together.
You can LEGIT afford to do this. Which is not to say that you have money to burn – nobody should want to throw away this kind of money. But – and I say this with zero judgment – if doing this will get in your way of paying rent or feeding your kids, then you can’t afford it.
If any (or all) of the above is a turn-off for you, then this program isn’t for you, and that’s okay!
But if all of the above felt true and energizing for you, then you are perfectly positioned for me to be your dedicated Bone Health Concierge.
And that is regardless of whether…
...you just got your DXA test results, or you’ve been sitting on them for months (or longer)…
...you haven’t spoken with a single doctor yet, or you’ve been through the ringer more times than you’d like to count...
...you only eat paleo, vegan, vegetarian, Whole 30, or have been living off of Big Macs and milkshakes…
...are a professional athlete, weekend warrior, or you can’t for the life of you put on your sports bra...
...anyway, I think you get the idea.
And of course, if you still have questions, that’s totally fine because you simply CAN’T just buy a spot in this program.
All you can do is…
Apply for Me to Be Your Bone Health Concierge
If you feel like this program could be a fit for you (and vice versa)...
...the next step is for you to apply for a spot to work with me.
Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: You apply with a $100 refundable deposit.
This is to make sure I’m only talking to people who are completely serious about exploring their fit with the program.
Step 2: We set up a time to talk, and explore the fit.
We’ll find a time that works on both of our calendars in the next few days, to get on a call so I can get to know you and your bones, and you can ask any questions you have about the program.
If either of us feels that it’s not a good fit, then I’ll refund your deposit – no harm, no foul.
But if we both feel like it’s a good fit...
Step 3: We kickstart our bone health adventure! We’re on our way, in partnership.
You’ll send me your DXA test results, we’ll schedule our official kick-off call, and we’ll officially begin your journey to creating your bone health plan.
So that’s it. Thank you for reading this whole thing, and I look forward to exploring this opportunity with you… if it feels like a fit!
I appreciate you,
Irma Jennings, IHNC Osteoporosis Patient Navigator a.k.a. The Bone Lady
P.S. Here are a few more people that I’ve worked with, telling you why they think you might want to as well. So don’t take my word for it - take theirs:
And there are a lot more that I could share…
...but I think you get the idea. ;-)
So anyway, if you think this program might be a good fit for you...
...go ahead and put down your $100 refundable deposit, and we’ll set up a time to talk.
