Patients often ask me how to improve their diet for better bone health, but most nutritionists lack a deep understanding of osteoporosis. To optimize your path to better bones, I highly recommend Irma Jennings, a holistic bone coach and chef who can help you design a bone-healthy diet and guide you through the challenges of osteoporosis.
With her expertise in DXAs, TBS, blood work, bone biomarkers, food, and exercise, Irma can empower you to discuss your bone health with your doctor and create a productive partnership.
Work with Irma and take the first step towards better bone health.
Irma’s bone health program is a must for those who wish to increase their bone health through healthy food choices, improved digestion and support regarding an osteoporosis diagnosis. Irma has gone way beyond her nutritional training and helps clients get what they need from their doctors.
Irma knows more about bone health than most medical doctors in the field.
Irma Jennings is an astute, supremely qualified teacher who excites her clients to achieve and maintain a vibrant and healthy lifestyle.
Helene B. Leonetti, MD
Irma Jennings, INHC, Holistic Bone Coach, cultivated her passion for and earned her certification in integrative nutrition and health from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2003.
Continued studies with extraordinary "Food as Medicine” teachers around the world in India, Bali, Costa Rica, and Thailand fed her insatiable love for the healing qualities of food.
Inspired by her diagnosis of osteopenia in 2005, she used "food as medicine" and lifestyle changes to strengthen her bones. She created Food for Healthy Bones™, a company committed to helping others turn a terrifying quality of life-threatening condition into the impetus to partner with food. She applies her knowledge, years of training, and research in the bone world. For each client, an exercise referral program is presented. Stress reduction yields a better outcome.
Today, in her 70's, Irma's spine and hips have not become osteoporotic. Osteoporosis is in her forearm only.
PBS “Stronger Bones, Longer Life” with Dr. Lani Simpson showcased Irma cooking Food for Healthy Bones.
Private sessions (in person and on zoom) where her clients exceed their expectations about living vibrant lives, understanding their diagnosis, loving and understanding their bones.
